DANGEROUS LORD DARRINGTON has won the RNA
's RoNA Rose Award 2012!
I can't tell you how thrilled I am that "Darrington" reached the shortlist for this prestigious award.
AND THE RIBBONS ARE MOUNTING UP! Romance Junkies has just awarded TO CATCH A HUSBAND 4.5 Blue Ribbons! This is wonderful, so soon after they awared The Dangerous Lord Darrington FOUR Blue Ribbons!

"...Fast-paced, superbly written and wonderfully romantic, Snowbound with the Rake is another triumph for Sarah Mallory!" (Bookish Jottings Blog) Read the full review here.
You wait ages for a new Melinda Hammond e-book then two come along at once! The Belles Dames Club has just been published by Robert Hale Ltd . This is a sparkling historical romantic comedy (as I hope you can tell from the cover!). It was an absolute joy to write, and I hope you will enjoy reading it.
ALSO one of my all-time favourites (because it is set in West Yorkshire, where I now live), is now out as an e-book . You can find The Highclough Lady e-book on the Regency Reads website.
Both these e-books are also available via Amazon and you can read more about them on my Melinda Hammond website.
MAD, BAD & DANGEROUS TO KNOW....
Mad, certainly, if you look at some of the pictures! I had a great time
trying on Regency bonnets and a Georgian soldier's tricorne as well as
trying my hand (or foot) at Regency dancing... all in celebration of
Byron's Birthday. Find out more
here...
THE HARLEQUIN HISTORICAL HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY was a brilliant success. . Thank you so much to everyone who entered.

SNOWBOUND WITH THE NOTORIOUS RAKE was inspired by the beautiful Exmoor National Park. This story is also being released on its own in North America in December (it came out as a special Christmas edition in the UK)
I love everything about a traditional Christmas - the snow, candles, log fires - and even if there are no Christmas trees or mentions of Santa Claus in my book, I have tried to fill it with lots of festive spirit. You can find out more about what inspired me to write this story here, and if you want to read an extract, click here. Hope you enjoy it.
I am awash with covers!
TO CATCH A HUSBAND has a brand new cover for the UK edition (the paperback comes out in September). I am not s

ure which cover I prefer, what do you think?

this is a lively story featuring Kitty Wythenshawe, who thinks she knows exactly the husband she wants, and Daniel, one of the new breed of industrialists who were making their mark in England in the early 19th century. It's a Regency with a difference! You can read more about it and find an extract
here.
Also, September 2011sees the North American publication of THE
DANGEROUS LORD DARRINGTON. I wanted to write about Guy Wylder, the older borther of Nick from "Wicked Captain Wayward Wife". Guy only appeared briefly in his brother's story because he was keeping a low profie (for reasons which become obvious in this book) but here he meets the independent widow Beth Forrester. I really loved writing this book with its spooky old house, lovely heroine, handsome hero and a dastardly villain. Hope you enjoy it too! You can read an excerpt by clicking

Feb 2011: Just had this message from Donna at Catanetwork - "THE EARL'S RUNAWAY BRIDE has won a coveted CataNetwork Reviewers' Choice award for 2010. CataNetwork reviewers have chosen your book as one of the best books that they have reviewed for this year. "
You can imagine just how thrilled I am with this!

Disgrace & Desire has been awarded a 5-blue ribbon review by Romance Junkies! "Jack is the ultimate historical romance hero."
(PS - He's one of my favourites, too!)
