Welcome! Thank you for visiting my website. This site is for Sarah Mallory novels - stories with a strong romantic element: I like my books to have a solid historical background, a dash of adventure, a touch of humour and lots of passion!

PS - my latest Melinda Hammond novel - MOONSHADOWS - is out now as a paperback - see www.melindahammond.com

THE WICKED BARON

(Published UK August 2009)

When Luke Ainslowe returns from his lavishly opulent lifestyle in Paris, his reputation as an expert seducer of women precedes him. The ladies of the ton are torn between scandalized outrage and the desire to become mistress to the most dashing rake London has ever known….

Innocent Carlotta Durini refuses to become the baron's next conquest. For she lost her heart to Luke once before, and now believes herself impervious to his lethal brand of seduction. But what if the Wicked Baron refuses to take no for an answer?

NEED A HERO?
If I was  making a film of one of my books, I think Steve Hooper would make a great hero!  See his showreel at

MORE THAN A GOVERNESS
Sarah Mallory

Mills & Boon are publishing this in the UK as part of a two-book special edition for Mothering Sunday.  This is the new cover:

Falling for the master of the house.
Stern and unyielding, Major Damon Collingham was prepared to pay a king's ransom for someone who could stay the course as governess to his two motherless children. In her straitened circumstances, Miss Juliana Wrenn needed this post and could not allow herself to be intimidated by him - or his colorful reputation.

A devil on the battlefield and in the bedroom.  Juliana knew what was said about her employer. She would not fall under his spell. But then, those harsh features could sometimes soften to something so much more attractive.

My books are available from www.eharlequin.com and (of course) from Amazon.

I have just returned form a wonderful trip to norther Spain to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Corunna, when Sir John Moore marched the British army across the mountains to the coast with the French army hot on his heels. He was then forced to fight to defend the town in order to evacuate his troops. You can read about it on the "corunna" link on the left of this page.  Unfortunately, in my opinion battlefields make pretty  boring photographs for the casual viewer (I've put a picture of the battlefield of Salamanca below, to make my point!) - The sites are either huge expanses of barren waste or they are covered by modern buildings. I have plenty of photos for my research but I am not sure they make the most aeshtetically pleasing views.  Luckily, there were plenty of re-enactors in Corunna for the celebrations, so I have included a few photographs of them for you!

I also write under the name of Melinda Hammond, historical novels with an element of adventure and romance.

"Lucasta", my latest historical romance for Robert Hale Limited is now available and you might like to visit my website: www.melindahammond.co.uk to read more about this and the other Melinda Hammond novels.

Guess who's the sexiest male for 2009!  Results of the Romantic Novelists' poll are now in and you can see the results here.mThe Romantic Novelists' Association have just published their poll of romantic heroes - take a look and see if you agree.

AND TALKING OF ROMANCE - don't you just love this sofa? I was attending the Pure Passion Finale in Manchester recently and found this beauty in a hotel bar (I am talking about the sofa, of course - it's just me trying it out!)   I am thinking of having a guest slot and calling it "On the Sofa with....."arah Mallory Romantic Historical Novelist
