"Sarah Mallory's name is set to become a favourite with readers of historical romantic fiction the world over!" (Julie Bonello, Cataromance)

Welcome! Thank you for visiting my website. This site is for Sarah Mallory novels - stories with a strong romantic element: I like my books to have a solid historical background, a dash of adventure, a touch of humour and lots of passion!

PS - my latest Melinda Hammond novel - MOONSHADOWS - is out now as a paperback - see www.melindahammond.com

 NEWS!!! A brand new book!

WICKED CAPTAIN, WAYWARD WIFE

(Published UK February  2010)

When young widow Eveline Wylder comes face to face with her dashing captain husband - very much alive - she is shocked, overjoyed...and furious! So, whatever his explanation for his outrageous deception, she'll keep Nick firmly out of their marriage bed.

Eve's sheltered innocence bewitched Nick, but it's her fiery anger that captures his adventurer's soul!  Now the daring ware hero faces his biggest chalelge yet - proving to Eve that his first duty is to love and cherish her, for always! Click here to read an excerpt.

My books are available from www.eharlequin.com and (of course) from Amazon.

And I've been researching for a book out later this year....

I have just returned form a wonderful trip to norther Spain to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Corunna, when Sir John Moore marched the British army across the mountains to the coast with the French army hot on his heels. He was then forced to fight to defend the town in order to evacuate his troops. You can read about it on the "corunna" link on the left of this page.  Unfortunately, in my opinion battlefields make pretty  boring photographs for the casual viewer (I've put a picture of the battlefield of Salamanca below, to make my point!) - The sites are either huge expanses of barren waste or they are covered by modern buildings. I have plenty of photos for my research but I am not sure they make the most aeshtetically pleasing views.  Luckily, there were plenty of re-enactors in Corunna for the celebrations, so I have included a few photographs of them for you!

I also write under the name of Melinda Hammond, historical novels with an element of adventure and romance.

"Lucasta", my latest historical romance for Robert Hale Limited is now available and you might like to visit my website: www.melindahammond.com to read more about this and the other Melinda Hammond novels.

AND TALKING OF ROMANCE - don't you just love this sofa? I found this beauty in a hotel bar (I am talking about the sofa, of course - it's just me trying it out!)   I am thinking of having a guest slot and calling it "On the Sofa with....."arah Mallory Romantic Historical Novelist
